Call for applications: MA in Modern Asian Studies (MAMAS) at the City University of Hong Kong (CityU)

The Department of Asian and International Studies (AIS) launched a new Master of Arts degree in Modern Asian Studies in 2014. We are now inviting applications from prospective students for the 2017–18 academic year. We welcome strong applicants with research interests in the interrelated political, economic, social, cultural, and religious dynamics of Asia as a region.

MAMAS is the first and only Masters program of its kind in Hong Kong that develops expertise on issues of Modern Asian Studies. It will equip students with essential skills in understanding Asia as a region, keeping in sight its sub-regional dynamics, and its relation to an increasingly interconnected world.

Duration: The normal duration of the programme is one year full-time (or two-year part-time mode).
