The CECPSR is pleased to welcome Dr. Maximilian Ohle as a new member of the Advisory Board of the Eurasian Research on Modern China and Eurasia Conference. He has actively contributed to the VI, V, and VI editions of the Conference. Maximilian Ohle obtained his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Tübingen in 2025 and is currently a visiting lecturer at the Catholic Institute of Vendée, La Roche-sur-Yon, France. He previously received his degree in International Affairs and Public Policy from Nankai University. His research interests include Russian and Chinese foreign policies, Sino-Russian relations, ethnic conflicts in the South Caucasus, Central Asia and Southeast Asia, as well as middle and small powers in International Relations. His contributions were published in International Relations, The Journal of Contemporary China, Europe-Asia Studies, The Journal of Chinese Political Science, The Journal of Eurasian Studies, and The Pacific Review, among others. He is also a co-author of Asia Pacific Secondary States as Kingmakers: Alignment Roles in the China-US Strategic Competition. He was a research fellow of the China Studies Program at Nankai University from March 2023 until January 2024.
