Mher Sahakyan and Kevin Lo signed a contract with Taylor & Francis to Edit the Groundbreaking Routledge Handbook of China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Eurasia

In a significant partnership, Routledge (Taylor & Francis), known for its distinguished contributions to the academic world, has signed an exclusive editor’s contract with the director of China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Research, Dr Mher Sahakyan and director of David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies, Kevin Lo. The collaboration aims to publish the much-anticipated Routledge Handbook of the Belt and Road Initiative in Eurasia. The handbook promises to be an authoritative source on this topic.

Mher Sahakyan, an accomplished scholar in international relations and China’s foreign policy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this groundbreaking project. As the editor, he curates a comprehensive collection of cutting-edge research and analyses exploring the dynamic interactions between China and the broader Eurasian continent. Mher Sahakyan has edited two volumes published by Routledge China and Eurasian Powers in a Multipolar World Order 2.0: Security, Diplomacy, Economy and Cyberspace and China and Eurasia Rethinking Cooperation and Contradictions in the Era of Changing World Order and Routledge Handbook of Chinese and Eurasian International Relations.

Kevin Lo is an outstanding scholar. In 2023, Stanford University recognized him as one of the world’s Top 2% Scientists. He has won several major competitive grants from the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong, including the Early Career Scheme (ECS) and the General Research Fund (GRF). He has published in many leading journals, including Global Environmental Change, Political Geography, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy Policy, Energy for Sustainable Development, Environmental Science & Policy, Cities, Habitat International, and Journal of Rural Studies. Dr. Lo has held several leadership positions, including Associate and Acting Director of the David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies, an international hub in social science and humanities research, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Asian Energy Studies, an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research on all aspects of energy studies in Asia.

The handbook will cover various topics, including geopolitical dynamics, economic relationships, digitalization, technologies, cultural exchanges, and security challenges.
