Astana. Mher D. Sahakyan, Director of the China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Research, delivered a speech on Eurasian interconnectivity during a conference attended by Kazakh, Armenian, and Azerbaijani scholars and experts. He addressed the China–Central Asia–West Asia Economic Corridor and stressed the importance of peace in the South Caucasus for strengthening transportation links between the South Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and China.

The speech was based on his chapter “Rebuilding Eurasian Interconnectivity: China–Central Asia–West Asia Economic Corridor”, published in the Routledge Handbook of China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Eurasia.

Dr. Sahakyan thanked Prof. Dr. Karlygash Nugmanova and the International Centre of Geopolitical Projection “East–West” for organizing the event with professionalism and hospitality.
